我问了gamespot上的人：

The clues from the paper point to specific words - like you said, mannequin for "All dressed up with no place to go" - a mannequin is a store statue that is dressed in the store's fashions, but because it is a statue it can't go anywhere. Manny Kinn is what is called "a play on words". Manny Kinn is kind of similar to mannequin. The same with Neil Down - if you kneel down, then you will have to stand up - eventually, and Polly Ester Givens - polyester is a type of material that is often used to make shirts, so you have "would give you the shirt off her back" and polyester givens or Polly Ester Givens.

I imagine that it is much harder for you to understand or pick out these names that are supposed to sound like something else or have their meanings twisted, since English isn't your native language - English is hard enough to learn without trying to figure out someones off the wall twisted meanings to follow a clue in a game, but that is all they are just a play on words to get a name that you look up in the burial book in the great room then go out to where that person is buried to get the next clue. You will eventually get to the last name and get another glass eye and a tiny pirate's eye patch that you will use later.

但是我还是不太明白polyester givens。

Polly Ester连起来读就是polyester，聚合酯，老百姓俗话说的化纤面料也是这个词，可以用来做衣服

1 Well, shirts are sometimes made of polyester: "Polly Esther." And she'd "give" you her shirt-"givens." Therefore, "Polyester (Shirt) Givens"="Polly Esther Givens."

2 The saying "would give you the shirt off her back" means that someone is very sharing with their possessions, time - everything that they have to share, but in this case it is only, as I said, a play on words.

The people who made the game took the saying "would give you the shirt off her back" and intended game players to think of it as "gives her polyester" just so they could use the name "Polly Ester Givens". Once you have typed Polly Ester Givens on the paper from the puppet, found out where she is buried from the burial book and gone out to her grave in the cemetery, you are through with Polly and you won't need to think of her again.
