This is the XS (2002) re-release, so there is no need for the patch that was released for the original.  I've tested this on Windows 98 SE (Virtual PC) and Windows XP (real hardware) and everything worked great.  This site addresses possible problems with XP, though everything worked fine for me.  It's an odd solution, but it seemed to work for Daniel Glass (run Firefox or AIM in the background).
