The first ever photorealistic game, The Journeyman Project, received more than just a facelift in Pegasus Prime. This 4 CD-ROM remake, which in North America was released solely for the Macintosh, has been expanded to include new characters, new rooms, enormous amounts of additional animation, an improved music soundtrack, and longer game play.

D2 t& e) O# q4 ~The Journeyman Project was first released in 1992 for Macintosh only. Presto Studios updated it twice: first to version 1.2, and then a "Turbo" version which improved game speed tremendously, offered more compatibility for PowerPC systems, and was then also released for the PC. Showcased here is a 100% reworked full remake.

The terrible wars are over and contact with alien beings, called Cyrollans, has been established. These aliens want the Earth to become a part of the Symbiotry of Peaceful Beings, an alliance of intelligent beings who share knowledge and culture with each other. The aliens have given the Earth 10 years to consider their proposal. Now, on the eve of their return, someone has traveled back in time and plans to alter the past, a potentially devastating event that could ruin Earth's chances of joining the alliance. You play the role of an agent working for the Temporal Protectorate, a top-secret government agency that protects the Earth from illegal use of time travel. Can you eliminate the sabotage before it reaches the current time-space continuum?

* p5 E6 Q& ^3 n7 [. `Since the game was essentially made for Playstation and Pippin console hardware and then for the Mac, the interface has a console feel. Accessing inventory, info screens, biochip screens, and navigation are all controlled via the keyboard. Some see this emphasis on the keyboard as a drawback, but I see it as an extraordinary bonus. Moving around in this game is so smooth that there are moments where I forget it's all pre-renderd. Using inventory items, activating biochips, and a other environmental actions are still controlled using the mouse though. All the same, here is a list of the keyboard controls to get you primed.
