Andrea was able to find out something interesting. The construction site Richard was employed at was merely an excavation used to search for a precious element, radium. It's a very precious element as the world reserves have been nearly exhausted. Radium was used in the early androids' logic control units. It proved to be dangerous to people who were in contact with these droids, so another type of logic control units were developed. Radium mines, almost exhausted, were shut down. According to the documents, one of the radium reserves still remains in Prague. Germans hid it here before the end of World War II. Endora tried to keep the excavation in secret but, thanks to Richard, it's now blown open. You need to mine several tons of uraninite or other minerals to obtain a single gram of radium, hard to keep that low profile, that's why the construction site cover was created. What Andrea still can't figure out is why Endora would want radium now that it's not used in android production anymore, but it must be related to the new technology Petrenko was working on.

The radium is currently held in the Endora laboratory in a town not far east of Prague called Kolin. Richard will have to make that trip. Andrea hands Richard his new personal card and sends him off on the new mission. One of the people with the Resistance will take Richard to Kolin and, when is done, back to Prague.

' s* e9 ^, z1 m" |" UNote: The game writers surely overdid it with all the different cards in the game. "These cards are similar to a regular personal card... and they contain the same information," - says Richard upong receiving the cards. As I already mentioned before, right at the start of the game the player is made believe that the personal card is the document used for many purposes: it's a bank card, it's an identification document and it contains information on your current job. When Richard loses his job, his personal card is taken from him (the same information is mentioned later, by the work assignement office, when Richard talks about the guy who is going to be laid off the next day - his personal card will also be removed). A personal card is defined as a working card as well. That is until we see different employee cards appearing out of the blue. First it was Petrenko's card, then the janitor's. But now it's even more crazy. At this point the writers are telling us that not only there is an employee card in addition to a personal card, but that both cards contain the same information./ J0 }/ [2 Y- j l( l4 v5 F
